Our main goal is to help vulnerable people in South Nepal. To achieve this goal, we act on four interconnected causes whose effects strenghtens each others :
Education and Community Support : We build key infrastructure, notably schools and Community Learning Center.
Empowerment of Women : We provide professional training to vulnerable disabled women in Kathmandu.
Vulnerable and Abused Children : We set up refuge to protect and rehabilitate abused childre, especially from rapes.
Climate crises and Natural disaster : We plant community forests and involve the local population for educational purposes.
Train local people to take-over the process. For example we have offered free jewellery and tailoring training to disabled women in Kathmandu. But we didn't stopped there ! We also prepared them to make sure they are able to take over by teaching their craft to others. Indeed, the student becomes the master.
Monitor the effects of our projects after their completion. Through careful assessments of the positive impact we are having, we are able to evolve and do things in an ever beeter ways!
Involve the local population in the project from the beginning. With their participation, feedback, and expertise, we ensure that our projects meet a real and critical need of the people.
maximized impact
How do we maximise our impact ?
Focus on one of Nepal’s seven provinces, Madhesh Province which is in the southeast, with some supporting activities in Kathmandu valley.
Collaborate with other small UK charities, pooling resources, know-how and networks. In 2021 we achieved tremendous results in collaboration with registered charities Our Sansar and Guy’s Trust, which have a similar ethos and interests.
Implement our projects through carefully chosen grassroots organisations in Nepal, building their capacity to allow them to increase local project ownership. To this end, we have partnered with the NGO’s Mithila Wildlife Trust (MWT) and Our Sansar in Madhesh Province and the social enterprise Lily’s Leaves in Kathmandu.
